CONROE, TX. – A 12-year-old Conroe child has been charged with the shooting death of a 10-year-old brother, sheriff officials said.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said that they received the report of the shooting on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at around 2:34 p.m. Deputies responded to the 10700 block of Stidhman Road. They arrived by 2:40 p.m. to find a 10-year-old white male with a single gunshot wound to his chest.
Despite life-saving measures being administered to the small boy, he died as a result of his injuries. The victims 12-year-old brother was arrested and taken to juvenile hall. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the 10 year old victim,” Sheriff officials said in a written statement.
The investigation is ongoing, no other information is available at this time.
