HIGHLAND – A 13-year-old boy was arrested for elder abuse after throwing a brick at an 80-year-old woman. On Monday night at around 8:00 p.m. deputies from the Highland Station received the report from Adult Protective Services (APS) reference the assault on the 7000 block of Lynwood.
Deputies made contact with the elderly victim who told them that on Sunday, July 17th at around 9:25 pm she walked outside to find the neighbor boy arguing with his sister. She then asked the two to stop fighting in front of her home. In response, the male juvenile suspect picked up a brick from her yard and threw it at her. The brick struck the woman in the leg causing significant injuries.
The suspect them picked up another brick tossing it at her vehicle window shattering it. The male juvenile suspect was arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall for Elder Abuse.
