CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. – A murder suspect responsible for a 2016 Indio murder and a murder earlier this month in Avondale, Arizona, was arrested on Friday.
A joint effort by the Riverside County Gang Impact Team (GIT) and the Indio Police Department Street Crimes Unit (SCU) Marcos Gaeta was arrested. An extensive investigation by both the Indio and Avondale, Arizona Police Departments led to Gaeta being identified as the suspect in both cases.
Gaeta was arrested in the area of Date Palm Drive and Ramon Road in Cathedral City. He was taken into custody without incident. A loaded handgun was found in his possession.
