Authorities Say Rumors About Gun at Yucaipa School on Social Media False

YUCAIPA, Calif. – The Yucaipa said that rumors being circulated on social media about a child found at Parkview or Ridgeview school are false.

“No guns were found at either school or at any other area school,” Yucaipa Police said. In addition, talks about a large fight in the Community Park when school let out did not take place.

Another concern brought to the attention of police officials is that the Redlands Bicycle Classic (RBC) going through the area made the school and/or neighborhoods inaccessible to emergency vehicles. “Emergency services personnel were staged throughout the course to ensure all areas were accessible if needed,” Police officials said.

No emergency calls in the areas of the RBC were impacted.
