Wife Arrested for 2015 Murder of Victorville Man

VICTORVILLE, Ca. –Authorities believe that there may be more victims of man who was arrested last week for the the sexual abuse of a young child.

The arrest came after an investigation began on September 27, 2020, after the allegations of the child sex crime were made to Victorville Police. The victim, now a 22-year-old woman said that she was sexually abused by Israel Hernandez Carballo, 64, of Victorville, from the time she was six years old until she was around 14-years-old. The victim told police that she was living with the suspect at the time of the abuse.

The investigation led to interviews of multiple people. The interviews led to evidence the suspect Carballo may have committed similar crimes in the State of California and the State of Washington. An arrest warrant was authored and granted for the suspect and he was arrested on September 29, 2020.

Carballo was located and detained at his home in the 15800 block of Sapphire Street and he was transported to the Victorville Police Department. He was interviewed and subsequently arrested. He is currently being held in lieu of $700,000 bail for multiple charges related to the sexual abuse.

The suspect has lived in multiple Southern California cities including Montclair, Fontana, and Victorville. He also has lived in Washington State. Investigators believe there may be additional victims that have not yet come forward and are releasing the suspects photograph.
