FONTANA, Ca.– A 5-year-old boy went missing from a Fontana home after a break-in on the morning of Thursday, June 22, 2023, authorities said.
At around 9:00 a.m. police were dispatched to the 15700 block of Paine Street for the report of a missing child. When they arrived they learned that Sebastian Sanchez was abducted from the home during the break-in. No suspects have been identified, but Sebastian’s mother, Alexus Marie Gonzales, 24, of San Bernardino, is a person of interest. Sebastian is Hispanic and is around 40” tall and around 47 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red Avengers shirt, beige cargo shorts and was not wearing shoes.
Alexus is wanted on an unrelated child abduction case of an approximately 18-month-old child three weeks ago in the City of San Bernardino. Gonzales has a felony kidnapping warrant for her arrest as a result of the kidnapping. Despite Alexus having a warrant for her arrest, authorities said that the cases do not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert. Detectives are asking for the public’s help with any information leading to the safe return of Sebastian and any information leading to the arrest of Alexus,
Anyone with any information about the whereabouts of Alexus or Sebastian should immediately contact the Fontana Police Department at 909-350-7700.
