RIVERSIDE – A four-vehicle traffic collision took the life of one man and severely injured a second in Riverside on Sunday. The collision reported just before 3:00 a.m. involved two unknown vehicles and two motorcycles in the eastbound lanes of the 91 freeway just east of Buchanan Avenue.
City of Riverside Fire Department officials said that one of the motorcycles was on fire when they arrived and one of the motorcyclists was dead on the scene. The second motorcyclist, a 33-year-old man was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The other two drivers had minor injuries and did not require transport.
A complete closure of the 91 freeway east at the collision location for investigation. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
