ADELANTO – A marijuana deal went very bad, leading to an attempted robbery, shots fired, and a traffic collision in Adelanto on Sunday evening.
Authorities said that at around 6:50 p.m. two women were attempting to purchase marijuana from two male suspects. The women met with the men to make the purchase and gave the men a ride. The two suspects, while in the back seat attempted to rob the women at gunpoint. The passenger jumped from the vehicle near Pearmain Street and Seneca Road, but the female driver continued to drive as the male suspect fired shots at her from the back seat. The driver accelerated and eventually crashed into another vehicle near Palmdale Road just west of CA-395.
Both suspects, only described as black male adults, fled the scene on foot. No one was injured as a result of the collision.
