ADELANTO – A 35-year-old Adelanto man who is a convicted felon was arrested after authorities received a tip that he had a semi-automatic handgun in his possession.
Deputies from the Victor Valley Station authored a search warrant for the home in the 11200 block of Charleston Street in the City of Adelanto. The search warrant was served at the home on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at around 10:30 a.m. During the search, a firearm, ammunition, and narcotics were all located. Juan Rios was arrested and was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Possession of a Control Substance while Armed, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Felon in Possession of Ammunition. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on the afternoon of Monday, May 21, 2018.
