VICTORVILLE – An Adelanto man nearly escaped arrest after allegedly brandishing a firearm at a Victorville Walmart Store on Friday. At around 12:48 p.m. deputies from the Victorville Station were flagged down in the parking lot of the store located at 12234 Palmdale Road in the City of Victorville
The deputy learned that the suspect brandished the firearm in the parking lot during a road rage incident. The deputy followed the subject, later identified as Keheir Jordan Parker, 21 to an Adelanto home. During the drive, the driver was passing vehicles unsafely, ignoring stop signs and speeding. Parker was contacted in front of the home in the 14500 block of Sunflower Court, but no firearm was found in his possession.
According to Sheriff’s officials, around an hour later dispatchers received a call reporting that a resident found a firearm in the driveway of her home. During the call, Parker knocked at the reporting party’s door. Deputies responded to the home and took Parker into custody. Deputies learned that Parker threw the firearm out of his vehicle while driving to his home. They also learned that the firearm was reported stolen.
Parker was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for exhibiting a firearm, possession of stolen property and reckless driving. He was later released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court in June.
