ADELANTO – Do you love to decorate for Christmas? Do you think that your decorating skills have what it takes to win a citywide contest?
The City of Adelanto in the holiday spirit is having a Christmas decorating contest. Seeking the most amazingly decorated homes in the city is hosting this win-big contest with the grand prize for the best overall being $500 plus a trophy. There will also be winners chosen by categories, who will be awarded $150 each plus a certificate. “There will be an additional honorable mention for $30,” city officials said.
Homes will be judged on categories such as the most twinkling lights, most creative, themed, best traditional, and the best animation.
Applicants can apply from now until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1st. The judging period will be between December 9, 2016, and December 10, 2016, and winners will be announced on December 14, 2016.
