APPLE VALLEY – Authorities are seeking the identity of the suspect(s) who stole an ambulance from St, Mary’s Hospital in the Town of Apple Valley on Saturday evening.
The incident was reported at 6:34 p.m.at the hospital located in the 18300 block of Highway 18. The location of the ambulance was tracked by the communication manager, which led the sheriff’s helicopter and patrol vehicles to Polo Court near Polo Road in the City of Victorville. The ambulance was found adjacent to a field with no suspects in sight. Deputies from the Victorville Station spoke with nearby residents in an attempt to collect suspect or any other pertinent information.
A supervisor with ambulance crew responded to the scene in order regain possession of the ambulance. No suspects were identified or arrested. Anyone with information is asked to call 760-241-2911. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call 800-78-CRIME or leave tips at www.wetip.com.
