Apple Valley, Ca. – An Apple Valley man was arrested after stealing a vehicle that was left running outside of Liquor Store on Monday evening.
Just before 5:00 p.m. on August, 29, 2022, deputies were called to the Liquor Store in the 13000 block of Central Road in the Town of Apple Valley for the report of a stolen vehicle. The victim reported that he went inside the store leaving the vehicle running. When he went back out, he witnessed his vehicle being driven away by the suspect, later identified as Johnathan Roy Westle Suttle, 26, of Apple Valley.
Since the victim had left his cell phone in the vehicle, he was able to track the location of his vehicle and report it to deputies. At around 5:25 p.m. deputies located the vehicle near Japatul and Joshua Roads. Subtle, who has already been convicted of car theft (2014), receiving stolen property (2017), car theft (2020), receiving stolen property (2022), and a parole violation (2022) was arrested at the scene.
He was transported to the High Desert Detention Center, where he was booked, according to inmate records, for Carjacking, receiving stolen property, vehicle theft, and parole violation. He is being held without bail. He is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court for an arraignment hearing on Wednesday afternoon.
