APPLE VALLEY – The man responsible for a hit and run leaving a 48-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries on Sunday, has been arrested. The Sunday night collision occurred at around 8:20 p.m. on Navajo Road near Sitting Bull Road. Deputies from the Apple Valley Station and emergency medical responded to the area to provide to the female pedestrian, later identified as 48-year-old Lizzete Lebron who was lying in the #2 northbound lane of Navajo Road. Lebron was ultimately airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center for the treatment of major injuries.
Witnesses provided authorities with information about the suspect vehicle and the suspect, which helped to lead to the involved 2001 silver Saturn and subsequent identification of suspect Gregory Conway, 53. Conway was arrested at his home in the 8900 block of Sixth Avenue in the City of Hesperia on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at around 3:14 p.m. for hit and run with injuries. He was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for felony hit and run where is is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday afternoon.
