Two 19-Year-Old Apple Valley Men Arrested for Murder

APPLE VALLEY, Ca. – A 68-year-old Apple Valley man was arrested for the sexual molestation of at least two children.

Authorities said that on January 12, 2021, they were made aware of a female child who was allegedly molested by George Mantooth. During the investigation they learned that a second female victim, who was related to Mantooth, was continuously raped by Mantooth from the age of 13 into adulthood. The following day a search warrant was authored for the search of Mantooth’s home in the town of Apple Valley. Evidence was collected from his home to corroborate the allegations.

Mantooth was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for continuous sexual molestation of a minor, lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, oral copulation with a child under 14-years-old and incest. Authorities are concerned that there may be additional juvenile victims.
