APPLE VALLEY – A 58-year-old Apple Valley man was arrested after shots were fired on Thursday morning.
At around 8:06 a.m. David Floyd Rains called deputies asking for help at his home in the 8400 of Aspen Road in Apple Valley. Due to the area being unincorporated, Victor Valley station deputies responded to the home.
When they arrived they found David Rains in possession of a firearm. Through investigation, deputies learned that Rains had fired a weapon outside of his home. Rains was taken into custody and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for negligent discharge of a firearm. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. It is unclear why Rains called authorities at this time.
