Apple Valley Sex Offender Arrested for Rape & Incest that Resulted in Pregnancy

APPLE VALLEY – A convicted sex offender from Apple Valley was arrested for rape and incest as a result of a 2006 incident.

Deputies from the Apple Valley Station began investigating the allegations of incest and rape that were made against Raymond Eugene Jenkins, 57. The female relative became pregnant with Jenkin’s child as a result of the rape. Paternity test results that the victim had previously obtained substantiated her claims that Jenkins was the father. Jenkins was incarcerated at the time for an unrelated sex offense conviction. Jenkins served his time and was released from state prison on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) and returned to Apple Valley.

Jenkins, who previously was arrested multiple times for failing to register as a sex offender, went to the Apple Valley Police Department to register on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at around 9:00 a.m. and was contacted by the deputy investigating the incest and rape allegations. Jenkins was subsequently arrested for Rape of a Victim Unable to Consent and Incest. Jenkins was booked into the High Desert Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on July 31, 2018.

Authorities are concerned that there may be additional victims. Jenkins is known to move around the High Desert, Nevada and other Western States. Deputies are asking for anyone who may have been victim of Jenkins and has not yet reported to law enforcement to contact the Apple Valley Station attention Deputy Clancy.
