HESPERIA – A Hesperia man, who is wanted for questioning on an assault with a deadly weapon case is now also wanted for questions about a cockfighting investigation.
On Wednesday, August 30, 2017, deputies from the Rural Crime Task Force, along with Victor Valley and Hesperia detectives responded to numerous reports leading to an investigation into possible cockfighting at a home in the 9000 block of Cottonwood Avenue in the City of Hesperia. When they arrived suspicions were confirmed to be a breeding and training location for cockfighting. With a search warrant in hand, the deputies located multiple implements of cockfighting including knives, cockfighting paraphernalia, and a training facility. On the property, 132 roosters were located and seized.
Edgar Boiso, 29, was determined to be the suspect, but was not located at the home during the search warrant.
