VICTORVILLE – Authorities attempting to identify a suspect who, during an altercation, sideswiped a golf cart driven by a security guard and fled the scene.
On Saturday, September 29, 2018, at around 3:39 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Station responded to the Food 4 Less located, in the 16200 block of Bear Valley Road for the report of an assault with a deadly weapon. The reporting party told dispatchers that a subject who had caused problems in the store in the past returned to the store. The security guard made contact with him and told him that he was no longer welcome at the store. The subject got into a verbal altercation with the security guard.
The subject then got into his vehicle and as he left, he sideswiped the golf cart. He is described as an approximately 20-year-old, 6’ tall black man. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts, black socks, and sandals. The vehicle was described as a silver color Mercedes, similar to that in the photo, with damage to the front end.
