SAN BERNARDINO – A Banning man who called single mothers “easy targets” was sentenced to 125 years and 8 months to life in state prison for molesting their small children officials said. David Goodman, 25, of Banning, worked with children as both a Disneyland employee and a volunteer for a children’s theater group prosecutors said.
Goodman was convicted on February 28, 2018, for the four counts of Lewd Act Upon a Child, three counts of Oral Copulation or Sexual Penetration, one count of Forcible Lewd Act Upon a Child, one count of Distributing or Showing Child or Youth Pornography to a Minor, and one count of Possession of Child or Youth Pornography. Multiple allegations were found true.
At the time of the incidents in December 2014, Goodman was 21-years-old and friends with two women, both in their early 30’s with children. The 5-11-year-old victims were molested by Goodman who befriended their single mothers in order to gain access to the children. Evidence of a manual called “How to Practice Child Love” was found on Goodman’s personal computer and introduced as evidence.
During trial, Victim Advocate Yesica Cioli and K9 Dozer from the Special Victims K9 Unit provided comfort to the victims while prior to and during testimony. This case was investigated by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Crimes Against Children Division.
