BARSTOW – A Barstow man and woman were arrested for attempted burglary after a resident reported suspicious activity on their property.
On Friday, August 10, 2018, at around 4:03 p.m., Barstow deputies responded to the 33900 block of I Street in Barstow to investigate the report of two suspicious people on a property. The reporting party said that the unknown man and woman parked their vehicle on the driveway and walked around the outdoor garage area. The resident reported that the suspects had also attempted to enter the home through the locked front door.
Deputies made contact with Brianna Branning, 20, and Oscar Lara, 28, in the front yard of the home. “During a consensual search of their vehicle, deputies located various tools commonly used in the commission of burglaries, ”Barstow Sheriff’s officials said. “Branning and Lara were subsequently arrested for attempted burglary.”
