BARSTOW, Ca. – Barstow Police Department is investigating a threat made via Instagram toward an unspecified Barstow High School campus.
The social media post, made on the evening of Sunday, November 17, 2019, was widely spread through other social media, including Facebook and Instagram. The person who wrote the post said he/she was tired of being “pushed around” and had an M-16 rifle. In addition, he/she said that the other students that the post was going to would not be going home. Barstow Unified School District officials said that the classes and instruction will continue as usual, but with increased police presence on all campus’.
School District officials said that they are working closely with Barstow Police and will continue to update parents throughout the day in order to keep everyone informed. Any questions can be direction to the Public Information Officer at 760-255-6050.
