BARSTOW, Calif. – Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in a hit and run vehicle versus pedestrian collision that killed a Barstow woman.
On Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at 1:04 a.m. police responded to the 2400 block of West Main Street for the report of a possibly deceased person in the roadway. When they arrived they located a deceased woman lying in the eastbound lanes of West Main Street. The deceased woman, later identified as Juanita McFall, 63,had been struck by a vehicle that fled leaving her to die on the roadway.
Police checked the general area, but the vehicle, described only as black but could not locate it. Detectives responded to assume the investigation. Detectives collected evidence at the scene and said that a black vehicle that struck and killed McFall should have significant front-end damage.
