BIG BEAR – A Big Bear City man is wanted by authorities and is asking for the public’s assistance in locating him.
Big Bear Station officials said that the suspect, Larry Patterson, a 28-year-old probationer, was approached by deputies in the 700 block of East Meadow Lane regarding a call reporting loud music on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. When asked to identify himself, he told deputies he was “Jay King”. A toddler-aged child was with Patterson at the time and he asked to excuse himself to change the baby’s diaper. He was allowed to do so and went into the room where the baby was. While in the room, Patterson climbed out a window and fled the scene leaving the baby in the room. Deputies determined his true identity through a record check. The baby’s mother was called to pick up the baby.
Deputies also determined that Larry Patterson is on felony probation for assaulting a police officer. Patterson is in violation of the terms and conditions of his probation release. When he is located, Patterson will be booked into jail without bail. Patterson is a white man who is 5’9” tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
