BLOOMINGTON – Authorities are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect wanted for a shooting that left a Bloomington man dead.
On Sunday, June 24, 2018, at around 7:30 p.m. a 911 call was made reporting gunshots heard and a male bicycle rider down on the street. Deputies and emergency medical aid responded to 13th Street and Pepper Avenue in the City of Bloomington. They quickly located Curtis Lee Wadkins, 37, of Bloomington, suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was rushed to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center but died as a result of his injuries.
Homicide Investigators responded to conduct an investigation. Information collected during the investigation revealed that the subject was in a vehicle, possibly an SUV. After shooting Wadkins, the subject fled the scene in the vehicle.
