CORONA – A report from a concerned neighbor led to the discovery of a woman and toddler found deceased inside of a Corona home on Sunday.
The initial report was made by a neighbor who called when they noticed that the mail was not being picked up and saw other indications that something was wrong at the home. During the welfare check at 795 Mandevilla Way in the City of Corona at around 12:25 p.m., the two badly decomposed bodies of a woman and toddler boy were located.
Based on evidence at the scene, the preliminary investigation led authorities to believe the deaths may have been the result of a murder-suicide. The investigation is ongoing. Additional details will be released at a later date.
Anyone with information related to this investigation is encouraged to call Sr. Det. Mario Hernandez at (951) 279-3659.
