COLTON – Authorities are investigating the suspicious death of a Hispanic man.
At around 6:51 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, the Colton Police Department received a call reporting a man lying in an alleyway near the 800 block of Valley Blvd. in Colton. When officers arrived they found the unresponsive man. Colton Fire Paramedics responded to the scene and determined that the man was dead on arrival.
The evidence surrounding the deceased man led investigators to believe that there was a fight or struggle. The San Bernardino Coroner responded to the scene to collect the body and will perform an autopsy to determine the deceased man’s cause of death. Although the identity of the victim is known by authorities, his name is not being released at this time. The case is being investigated as a homicide based on the evidence at the scene.
