HELENDALE – A death investigation is being conducted to determine the cause and manner of death of a human body located in Helendale.
Authorities are not releasing any details regarding the identity of the deceased person who was located near National Trails Highway, south of Vista Road. On Thursday, July 26, 2018, at around 6:33 p.m. a 911 call was received reporting a body located approximately 30 yards east of National Trails Highway. Deputies arrived and confirmed the report.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Division and the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office are assisting in the investigation. There were no visible injuries on the body. An autopsy will be conducted as part of the investigation. Helendale residents fear the body is that of a missing man from the area, but authorities remain tight-lipped with any identifying details about the body.
