Cajon Pass Construction For the Week of Sunday, June 19th

CAJON PASS – Lane reconstruction work on the I-15 will continue both day and night as the final details are completed throughout the Cajon Pass Caltrans officials said. Crews are working on the final configuration of lane reconstruction. During the next two weeks the brake inspection area is expected to experience closure for two days that are still to be determined. Trucks should check brakes at the Joshua Street exit while the area is closed.

Caltrans has carefully planned closures during non peak traffic hours and no two consecutive ramps will be closed in the construction area. Construction is as follows for the week of June 19th to June 24th:

There will be alternating lane closures on the northbound I-15 between Kenwood Avenue and Oak Hill Road between June 19th and June 23rd from 7:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Alternating southbound I-15 lane closures will be between Oak Hill Road and Kenwood Avenue from June 20th through June 24th from 9:00 p.m. through 4:00 a.m. No detours will be necessary as other northbound and southbound lanes will remain open to traffic.

Northbound closures include Cleghorn Road on and off ramps, Oak Hill Road on and off ramps and Hwy 138. Southbound closures include Kenwood Avenue and Highway 138.

Hwy 138 southbound on and off-ramp closures will be from June 20th through June 25th from 7:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. Those who would normally be using the off-ramp should take southbound I-15 to Cleghorn Road, turn left and merge onto northbound I-15 and exit Highway 138. Those who would normally be using the on-ramp can continue northbound on the I-15 and exit Oak Hill Road, turn left and merge onto the southbound I-15.

The southbound Oak Hill Road on-ramp will experience closures during the period of June 20th through June 24th from 7:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Those who would normally use the southbound Oak Hill Road on- ramp, from Oak Hill Road will go left on Mariposa Road, then left on Ranchero Road and left on the I-15 on ramp at Ranchero Road.

Highway 138 northbound on and off-ramp closures will be from June 19th through June 23rd from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Those who would normally be using the off-ramp can continue northbound on the I-15 and exit Oak Hill Road, turn left and merge onto the southbound I-15 and exit Highway 138. Those who would normally be using the on-ramp should take the southbound I-15 to Cleghorn Road, turn left and merge onto the northbound I-15.

The northbound Cleghorn on and off-ramp closures will be June 19th to June 24th from 7:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Those who would normally be using the Cleghorn on-ramp can use the Kenwood Avenue on-ramp. Those who would normally use the Cleghorn off-ramp can use the Highway 138 off-ramp turn left to southbound I-15 to the southbound Cleghorn off-ramp.

The northbound Oak Hill Road on and off-ramp closures will be from June 19th to June 23rd from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Those who would normally use the Oak Hill Road on-ramp should from Oak Hill Road go left on Mariposa Road, then left on Ranchero Road and left on the I-15 on-ramp at Ranchero Road. For those who would normally use the Oak Hill off-ramp you can use the northbound Ranchero Road exit, go right to Ranchero Road; go right on Mariposa Road to Oak Hill Road.

The northbound Kenwood on-ramp will be closed from 9:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. during June 20th through June 24th. Those who would normally use the Kenwood on-ramp can use Cajon Boulevard northbound to the northbound Cleghorn Road on-ramp.
