FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. – Two Anaheim men were arrested for breaking a rear stucco wall of a dental office in order to burglarize the property.
On Sunday, April 7, 2019, the Fountain Valley Police Department officers set up surveillance at a business in the 11000 block of Warner Avenue. During the surveillance, officers noticed two suspects arrive in the area. The two broke out the rear stucco wall of the dental office to make entry. The suspects, Tevin Barnes, 26, and Derek Bryan, 26, exited the business, and Barnes was taken into custody. Bryan fled to a nearby area. A perimeter was set up and the Orange County Sheriff Department airship was used to search for him.
Bryan was located hiding in a planter and surrendered to FVPD K9 Kimbo. Barnes and Bryan were arrested for burglary, conspiracy, and obstructing. Authorities believe that the pharmacy next door to the dental office was the target of the burglary. Both suspects are career criminals and were both arrested together for a Westminster burglary on October 11, 2018. Both suspects are currently out on bail for the Westminster case.
A records check revealed Tevin Barnes is on CDC Parole for Robbery and Derek Bryan is on CDC Parole for Murder. Thanks to our allied agencies for their assistance in capturing two dangerous criminals.
