VICTORVILLE, Calif. – On February 6, 2019, the City of Victorville presented attendees at the Victor Valley Chamber “State of the City” presentation some of the cities recent accomplishments.
These accomplishments including those which are infrastructure related including the repair of 5481 pothole repairs and graffiti removal from over 2400 locations. The City was able to add sidewalks, traffic signals, crosswalk-safety flashers, and other improvements near seven schools as part of the “Safe Routes to School” project. The City rehabilitated nearly 3.5 miles of Village Drive and added 1.5 miles of center turn lanes.
Nobody likes the look of a dump in their surroundings but far too much gets dumped, with the “Dump it Right Victorville” campaign options to properly dispose of unwanted items.
The Southern California Logistics Airport has been and will continue to see changes. Moody’s investor service upgraded the Southern California Logistics Airport bond rating. All bonds are current and free of defaults. Nearly 1.5 million square feet of new industrial space in the past 18 months. General Atomics leased three buildings at SCLA. Two of the three will be used for a Victor Valley College Aircraft Mechanic class. In addition, Boeing leased an additional 93,000 square feet of hangar space.
