COLTON – A 31-year-old Colton man was arrested for the sexual abuse of four young girls who are related to him.
In March 2018, an investigation into the alleged sexual abuse of an 11-year-old girl who reported that the abuse began when she was 6-years-old. While investigating, three additional victims came forward, including a 9, 13, and 14-year-old girls. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for Steven Bocanegra on Monday, June 4, 2018, leading to his arrest in the 1000 block of West Valley Boulevard in the City of Colton.
Bocanegra was booked into the Central Detention Center for Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child and Lewd Acts With a Child Under Duress. He is being held in lieu of $400,000 bail. Investigators believe that there may be additional children victimized by Bocanegra.
