JACKSONVILLE, Fl. – A child molester was killed when his cellmate beat him and drowned him in a jail toilet, according to reports.
On Tuesday, July 30, 2019, Paul Dixon, 43, who was convicted for murder when he was 17-years-old was transfered to another jail temporarily for a court hearing. He was placed in a cell with David Oseas Ramirez and a third cellmate, Jacksonville, Florida police officials said. Police said that there was some sort of verbal altercation that escalated and became physical. Ramirez died and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of his death. The third cellmate refused to speak to police and asked for an attorney.
Both Ramirez and Dixon were serving life sentenced, Ramirez sentenced in 2013, for molesting an 11-year-old girl.
