NORCO, Ca. – A Corona man was arrested after an armed robbery in the City of Norco on Monday morning.
At around 3:28 a.m., deputies from the Norco station responded to the 2600 block of Hamner Avenye in the City of Norco for the report of a robbery. They were told that the suspect brandished a handgun at the store clerk and demanded the cash inside the register. The store employee complied and the suspect fled the scene with the funds collected for the evening sales.
Through investigation information authorities developed information about the suspect. A traffic stop in the City of Corona was conducted on a black Nissan Maxima with expired registration tags. Inside the vehicle they found the suspect along with three other occupants. The driver, Dwayne Wardell Haw Jr., 38, was identified as the driver and robbery suspect. Evidence connecting the vehicle to the crime was located inside the vehicle.
The three passengers of the vehicle were released pending further investigation. Dwayne Wardell Haw Jr., was arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for robbery and is being held on $30,000 bail.
