TEMECULA – A 28-year-old Corona man was arrested for a burglary and carjacking at a Temecula home on Saturday morning.
At around 3:37 a.m. officers responded to a call reporting a burglary in progress in the 40100 block of Canton Court in the City of Temecula. The 49-year-old female resident told authorities that she was awakened by the alarm at her home. She noticed a suspect who she described as a White man burglarizing her home. The suspect then set fire to her kitchen, barricaded himself in the garage and set another fire in the garage before fleeing the scene in her vehicle.
Officers located the vehicle, conducted a felony traffic stop and made contact with suspect Jack Lee Larrabee, a Hispanic male. Larrabee was arrested and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta for Burglary, Arson, and Carjacking. The victim was uninjured as a result of the incident.
