CORONA – Authorities are asking for the public’s help to identify two female and one male suspect who stole an elderly woman’s wallet at a Corona Stater Bros. Market.
On Tuesday, April 25, 2017, the elderly woman went to the store located at 2243 Eagle Glen Parkway in the City of Corona. She began her weekly grocery shopping when a man approached her to make small talk about food items. The woman engaged in a brief conversation which took her attention away from her purse that was placed in a shopping cart.
Authorities believe that two women later seen with the male, took the wallet from her purse while she was distracted. The elderly woman did not know that her wallet had been stolen until she attempted to pay for her groceries and noticed that her wallet was missing.he woman searched for her wallet thinking it was somehow misplaced, then called her bank and learned that there was a $3000 charge using her debit card at an electronic store. Through investigation, Corona Police located surveillance of the same three suspects at the Stater Bros. Market while the victim was there, and at the two stores where the fraudulent charges were made.
