CORONA, Calif. – Shots were fired at a busy Costco store in the City of Corona on Friday night.
Shoppers inside the store located at 480 N. McKinley Street all ran in an attempt to get out of the store as shots were fired only to find locked doors. Authorities are investigating the incident and are not releasing any information about a possible motive.
Witnesses report that the incident started as a verbal dispute when one man produced a gun and shot. One person has died as a result of the shooting, it remains unclear who was shot. As many as three are possibly injured according to witnesses.
“ The shooting incident at the Costco in Corona has been stabilized,” Corona Police said in a statement. “There is no apparent threat to our community from any outstanding persons. We will release more information as we work to confirm the facts.”
