HIGHLAND – Three men from both Highland and San Bernardino were arrested on Monday night after deputies located a loaded gun, possible drugs and a scale in the vehicle they were in. At around 10:05 p.m. deputies from the Central Station conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle near Pacific Street and Elm Avenue in the City of Highland.
When the deputy approached the car he saw a passenger in the vehicle moving around apparently trying to hide something. Deputies looked on the passenger side of the vehicle and proceeded to open the back door to remove the passenger from the car, officials said. Immediately, the deputy saw coin packets containing a white powdery substance consistent with cocaine.
All four suspects, later identified as 21-year-old San Bernardino resident, Jason Dubois, 18-year-old San Bernardino resident, Daniel Romero and 35-year-old Highland resident Siyani Cummings were removed from the vehicle. The three were detained while deputies searched the vehicle.
Deputies located a loaded 9mm Smith & Wesson firearm, a digital scale, and a large amount of cash.
