ADELANTO – An Adelanto man who was on active probation was arrested on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, after being caught stealing property from a home.
At around 11:25 a.m., a Victor Valley station deputy was patrolling the Adelanto area when he noticed the front door of a home in the 18100 block of Delicious Street was open. The deputy stopped at the home to make contact with the residents and noticed that Carlos Meza, 27, was walking from the property. Meza was found to be on probation and had an antique painting set and container of matches in his possession. The deputy confirmed that the items were removed from the home.
Meza was arrested for burglary and was booked into the High Desert Detention Center. He is being held without bail due to his probation.
