DESERT HOT SPRINGS, Calif. – A Desert Hot Springs man was arrested for the burglary of vehicles in the “Spa Zone” on Sunday.
On April 7, 2019, police responded to a call reporting the subject who matched the description of a vehicle burglar that was targeting vehicles in the area. The officers responded and Martin Martinez, 34, fled on foot. Officers pursued Martinez through the area of Hacienda Avenue and Club Circle. Martinez was learned to be the same suspect who was caught on surveillance footage on January 2019, throwing a large rock through a window of a truck that was parked in front of a local spa resort.
Martinez was arrested for five counts including Vehicle Burglary, Resisting Arrest, Parole Violation, and Possession of Methamphetamine. Martinez was booked at the Banning Jail.
