RIVERSIDE – Riverside Police Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify two armed carjacking suspects. The carjacking occurred on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at around 7:00 a.m. when the two suspects carjacked a male victim of his late-90’s Acura near Norman Way in the Hillside area of Riverside.
The victim said that one of the suspects was armed with a gun, while the other was armed with a screwdriver. The two kidnapped the victim and drove to a nearby industrial area. “After stealing some bank account information from the victim, they ordered him out of his car and the suspects fled in the victim’s car,” Riverside Police said. The suspects then used the victim’s bank card at two locations in the City of Riverside shortly after. The vehicle was recovered. “Surveillance video shows the two suspects inside the two businesses where the victim’s bank card was later used.”
The suspects were both described as Hispanic men, one 30-40-years-old, 5’7 to 6’ tall with dark skin and a stocky build. The second was described to be 28-30-years-old, with light skin, 5’7, 150 pounds, with a tattoo on the right side of his neck.
Detectives are still following up on leads but now need the public’s help. If you recognize these suspects, or have any information regarding this investigation, please contact Detective O’Boyle at (951) 353-7213 or MOboyle@riversideca.gov.
