SAN BERNARDINO – Eight people including 17-year-old male, were shot in the City of San Bernardino on Sunday, September 2, 2018.
At around 10:45 p.m. San Bernardino Police patrolling the Del Rosa area heard multiple gunshots. As the officers were attempting to figure out where the sounds were coming from, multiple 911 calls were made reporting shots fired and people down. When officers arrived they found several victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Some of the victims were unresponsive. The officers provided aid to the victims and called for emergency medical aid to assist.
Authorities said that as they worked on the victims, a hostile crowd emerged from the apartment complex. Officers requested additional backup to assist in dispersing the crowd. The victims were rushed to a local hospital, where two are in critical condition and six are suffering from life-threatening injuries. A vehicle passing the apartment complex also was struck by gunfire.
