VICTORVILLE – An 81-year-old Victorville man shot and killed his 76-year-old wife officials said. On Sunday, April 22, 2018, deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to a call reporting a shooting in the 13000 block of High Crest Street in the City of Victorville. When they arrived they located Hyae Yu suffering from a gunshot wound. The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband, William Yu, was also at the home and was detained.
Homicide Detectives responded to the location to assume the investigation. After interviewing Yu, they learned that he was in fact, responsible for the death of his wife. Yu was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for Murder. He is being held without bail. Yu is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Wednesday afternoon.
