HESPERIA – The family and friends are mourning the sudden loss of a 33-year-old Hesperia man. The Tuesday, March 7, 2017, discovery of Juan “Johnny” Ochoa, also known as “Johnny Blaze” suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and pronounced deceased in a dirt lot near 11th Avenue and Live Oak Street in the City of Hesperia has left his family and friends shocked.
Juan was a talented artist who demonstrated his love for art through music as well as the visual arts. “He had a gift to be able to illustrate real life into 2-dimensional figures on paper,” said his brother Omar Ochoa. “He can draw anything. He enjoyed rap music and even did some music on his own under the alias, Johnny Blaze.”
Juan was born in the City of Pomona and later moved with his family to Rialto and San Bernardino. He attended High School at Rialto High School. Juan leaves behind his mother, father and three brothers, Carlos, Omar and Julio. He also leaves behind his four young daughters, Destiny, Angelyn, Priscilla, and Brianna who he loved dearly. “He had the biggest heart for his girls and his family, especially his mother,” said Omar Ochoa. “He loved her dearly and always kept in contact with her.”
Family and friends describe Juan as having an amazing sense of humor and being laid back. The family can use financial help to provide the proper memorial service and burial for Juan. They have started a Go Fund Me account in order to collect these funds to assist them.
The gunman still remains unidentified and the investigation is ongoing. “I believe he is at peace now and even though his passing leaves an open wound on his loved ones, nobody can hurt him anymore, nobody can display any negativity towards him and he will live forever in our hearts,” added Omar Ochoa.
