VICTORVILLE – A heartbroken family is left to pick up the pieces after a fatal motorcycle collision on Friday night.
At around 11:20 p.m. as Cornelius “CT” Turner, 45, was on his way home from his job with Caltrans when he lost control of his 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle leaving him lying on CA-395 just south of Seneca Road. Authorities said that Turner was riding northbound when the accident occurred. Deputies and emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene shortly after to find Turner, who was not conscious or breathing. CPR was performed to no avail, Turner was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics.
“He was forced to ride his motorcycle due to car complications,” said Cornelius’ wife Christina on the Go Fund Me Account page. “It all happened so fast he was gone in an instant.” Turner was a family man, extremely proud of his children, who are pictured on a Caltrans billboard and his wife who works as a Caltrans as a heavy equipment operator. “CT was a well-respected man among his family, friends, colleagues, and community,” said Christina.
The family is now is left to deal with not only the sudden loss of a man who they love so much but now also to face the high cost of a funeral.
