Two 19-Year-Old Apple Valley Men Arrested for Murder

APPLE VALLEY – An Apple Valley father was arrested after a small child who was in his care was found walking alone on a cold rainy weather without shoes.

On Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at around 9:40 a.m. a concerned citizen called 9-1-1 to report that they had found a 3 to 4-year-old boy walking in his pajamas and with no shoes on in the 20000 block of Caddo Road. Good Samaritans allowed the small boy to sit in their vehicle to keep him out of the 40-degree rainy weather.

When deputies arrived they took custody of the child. Deputies located the child’s home, which was in the same neighborhood that he was found in. At the home, the deputies found three dogs which were considered vicious but no one was home. Authorities believe that the boy was left alone in the home and wandered away. Around 50 minutes after the child’s father, Jose Vizcarra (a.k.a. Jose Manuel De Jesus), 40, of Apple Valley, returned home.

Vizcarra was arrested for Felony Child Abandonment and was booked into the High Desert Detention Center. He is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Friday, December 7, 2018.  The uninjured child was transported to the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station where he was later released to his mother, who was at work and left him in the care of Vizcarra. Authorities have no evidence that the mother knew that the child was left home alone.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact Deputy Brandt Hobbs, Kayla Peters or Sergeant James Evans at the Apple Valley Police Department at (760)240-7400.
