LOS ANGELES – A South Pasadena father pleaded guilty to murdering his 5-year-old son in court on Tuesday Los Angeles County District Attorney official said.
Aramazd Andressian Sr., 35, is believed to have killed his son, Aramazd Andressian Jr. sometime on April 21st.
Andressian Sr. was discovered in a vehicle parked at a park in South Pasadena unconscious the following day. Authorities later learned that he had taken prescription pills and the vehicle he was in was covered in gas in an apparent suicide attempt.
An arrest warrant was issued for Andressian Sr. on June 23rd. Andressian Sr. told detectives where to find his young son’s body The body of the child was located over two months following his death in the Lake Cachuma area in Santa Barbara County.
Andressian Sr. will be sentenced On August 23rd where he will face 25 years to life in prison. The plea made was an open plea, meaning that his case was not first negotiated with the prosecutors involved in the case.
