COLTON, Ca. – Authorities are investigating a fatal vehicle versus pedestrian collision in the City of Colton on Thanksgiving Day.
On November 28, 2019, police officials said that they received a 911 call reporting a traffic collision near Washington Street and Meadow Lane. When officers arrived, a female, whose name is not yet being released was lying in the roadway suffering from blunt force trauma. Colton Fire and AMR responded to the scene to render medical aid. Despite emergency medical personnel’s efforts, the female pedestrian died as a result of her injuries.
The driver remained at the scene throughout the investigation. The identity of the woman will be released once family has been notified. The cause of the collision remains under investigation at this time.
