Upon arrival, they located the 1200 square foot home with a fully involved attached garage. A primary and secondary search were conducted at the home and no occupants were found inside the home.
Down lines from the home’s service drop minimally hampered the firefighter’s efforts. “An exterior attack was established on the garage and once sufficient Firefighters arrived on scene an interior attack was established,” SBCoFD Captain Jeremy Kern said in the news release.
The fire was contained to the garage with no extension into the vacant home. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. A total of 16 personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department including, four engines, one medic ambulance, one investigator, and a chief officer responded to the call. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
