VICTORVILLE – A small attic fire was quickly put out by San Bernardino County firefighters on Friday. At around 1:40 a.m. firefighters were dispatched to a commercial structure fire at the old Teazers Bar located at 14269 7th Street in the City of Victorville.
Firefighters arrived at the location just minutes after the call to find light smoke and some flames coming from the eaves near the back of the approximately 8000 square foot building. The structure was checked for occupants and firefighters were quickly able to confirm that the structure was vacant.
Teazers Bar and nightclub was closed on October 7, 2014, after being called a “public nuisance” and having their business license revoked. The restaurant is now listed for sale for the asking price $900,000.
The fire was out at around 2:00 a.m., Southern California Edison was called to the scene to secure utilities. Firefighters were able to prevent spread to other portions of the structure. There were no injuries reported as a result of the fire. The damage was estimated at approximately $30,000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, information will be updated as it becomes available.
